Eastern Revive set to open new Cheshire village restaurant at former Italian eatery

A Cheshire village’s long-standing former Italian eatery is set to reopen its doors as an Indian restaurant. Popular chain Eastern Revive – which has a number of venues in Cheshire – will soon be launching in Davenham.

It has taken over the Church Street premises vacated by family-run Turturici earlier this year. The Italian restaurant and bar had been a mainstay of the village for 17 years.

Eastern Revive, which started back in 2007, already has sites in Knutsford, Stockton Heath and Wilmslow as well as a takeaway premises in Hale. The chain most recently opened a venue in Didsbury, Manchester.

Signage has gone up in the windows of the property in Davenham stating that the new restaurant is “opening soon” and that Christmas bookings are being taken. On its website, Eastern Revive states: “Food is our passion and our extensive menu offers many tasty original dishes created by our talented team of chefs alongside deliciously authentic traditional favourites.

“We only use the very best ingredients and all our dishes are cooked to order based on your individual requirements – so whether you’re dining in or taking away, we have the dishes we know you will love.”

Previous occupant, Turturici, released a statement back in February confirming its “incredibly sad” permanent closure “after 17 steadfast years”. The post on its Facebook page added: “We will miss this beautiful community and all the wonderful people we have come to know here.

“Thank you wholeheartedly for all the love, encouragement and support you have shown us over the years.”
