The driver of the van, a 39-year-old local man, has been arrested and is assisting officers
A 15-year-old girl has been struck by a van in Crewe, police have said. The girl was walking on Timbrell Avenue at around 5pm on Thursday (May 5) when she is believed to have been struck by a silver Ford Transit van.
The teenager did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision, which occurred at the junction of Frank Webb Avenue and Timbrell Avenue. The driver of the van, a 39-year-old local man, has been arrested and is assisting officers.
Police say that enquires in relation to the incident are ongoing.
Detective Constable Ben Harrington said: “This investigation is ongoing and as part of our enquiries we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnesses the incident or anyone with any video footage of the collision.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from the driver of a blue three door Ford Fiesta and the rider of a motorbike displaying an L plate, which were both seen in the area at the time of the incident.
“I’d ask anyone with any information – no matter how small- to get in touch.”
