Man with Cheshire links who once stabbed ex-Manchester United player wanted by police

Police are hunting a man with Cheshire links who once stabbed an ex-Premier League footballer. Robert Rimmer, 37, is wanted over an ongoing drugs investigation in the Hull area.

Originally from the Ashton-Under-Lyne area of Manchester, Rimmer has links to Cheshire as well as Liverpool, Blackpool and Hull. He also has connections to the Middle East.

Back in 2013, Rimmer was jailed for repeatedly stabbing former Manchester United player Ronnie Wallwork in a VIP lounge in a bar in Manchester city centre. A Judge at Manchester Crown Court claimed Rimmer could have killed Mr Wallwork when he attacked him with a fish knife in what he described as an “extreme eruption of violence”, reports Hull Live.
